I love to look at the stunning work of studio photographers… and if that is what you are looking for I have some amazing recommendations for you. I admire the magic they create, but I have found it is NOT FOR ME.

What I have fallen in love with is not as traditional, so I thought I would write up my thoughts for anyone considering a Lifestyle Newborn Photography Session.

Reasons to consider:

  1. You just had a baby…. With this type of session there is no need to travel. There is no need to worry about what to pack. Lifestyle is all about convenience for you and your new baby. There is no hustle and bustle or running late to an appointment creating a stressful anxious new momma.

  2. The stress level is low. You do not have to worry if your baby is going to “cooperate”... it doesn’t matter if baby is asleep or awake and there is plenty of opportunity for pictures of mom and dad comforting the baby if he or she gets a little fussy. Another thing! If you prefer it… I barely even have to handle your new baby.

  3. Comfort and Calm… being in your own home puts everyone in a more relaxing mood.. Dad isn’t stuck waiting in a studio and if there are siblings: they are in their own environment (with all their toys and snacks)  and this leads to more successful sibling photos.

  4. Your home… Being in YOUR home means your images will be completely different than anyone else’s. From being in different rooms to the outside front porch swing.. You will be amazed at how your session will become unique and special to you. There is no NEED TO WORRY if you have a smaller home or if there is little natural light (I bring the SUN with me! lol) Your home does NOT have to be immaculate and clean! No one is going to see the undusted shelf or the dishes in the sink. Your HOME is where you make your memories… it is where you LIVE. This is the HOME you brought your new baby HOME to.

  5. Your NURSERY…. As a mom of two (one boy, one girl) I remember how much work went into the nurseries… and still to this day I love to see pictures and share them with my kids. The days get fuzzy during the first few months of less sleep and fewer showers.. These pictures help to recall moments you will always cherish.

  6. REAL LIFE… These pictures are about true, raw, real life connections your family shares with the new baby. Less posing… more natural. Forget about everything having to be “perfect” and relax.. Real life is a beautiful chaos! So let’s document it.

And yall! I LOVE to talk, visit and fellowship! SO this gives me an opportunity to get to know my clients as well.
